Hi everyone,
We have two ACS 5.1 appliances. By mistake we install the same license in both devices and when we tried to register the secondary ACS to the primary ACS it says the the license is already in used in the deployment. Furthermore, it is not possible to uninstall the license using the GUI and we can not find any command in CLI. How can we uninstall the license in the secondary box so we can install the correct license? We are trying to omit re-imaging the secondary box beacuse we don't have physical access to it now.

I don't think it's reasonable to install a custom newer version of gjs. There is no mechanism to update a permanent base license once it is installed
SInce the license is stored in the database then doing something like a clean install followed by a restore will not help since just get the old license restored
Note that once you join the secondary to the deployment it will take all its configuration from the secondary. Therefore should do the following on the secondary
- reset configuration using following CLI 'acs reset-config'
- wait until CLI completes and all processes are up and running agin using 'show application status acs'
- log into GUI on secondary server where you will be prompted to enter admin password and license
- can now join this secondary server to the deployment
One other thing to note is that there are some server certificate details that are stored locally to the secondary server and so should ensure they can be restored after the process above is performed

  when I login to the NAC CAM first time , it ask for the license key before ask for the username and password , what about ACS 5.1 ?

• In May 2012 we moved ColdFusion 9 from a CentOS 5.5 linux server to a Windows 2008 server. After some research it seemed like we could use the same serial number on the new server and there was a grace period to deactivate CF on the old server. The move went very smoothly.
  On the old server we had 4 or 5 websites using CF and after this move, I disabled or deleted those sites since we weren't using CF on the CentOS server anymore.
  Recently I realized that ColdFusion is still installed on the old CentOS server and probably still running even though we're not using it. To avoid licensing issues I want to uninstall, remove, or disable CF on the old server.
  I'm a complete Linux noob and my server admins know nothing about ColdFusion, so I'm here for help. My skills include logging into root, running 'top' and tailing a log file. That's about it but I know how to google for help.

  Okay, this has been resolved (I think). One my programmer buddies did the following:
  To stop CF9 :
  /opt/coldfusion9/bin/coldfusion stop
  Then to disable CF9 from startup:
  chkconfig –level 345 coldfusion_9 off
  So I think this issue has been resolved.

• I installed firefox from the extra repo. Sadly, it came with a bunch of plugins preinstalled (e.g., a Windows and Quicktime plugin). Primary reason I moved to Arch was to be able to install only what I want. This is not conducive to that.
  Anybody know how to uninstall the plugins?
  I read pacman manual and played around with pacman -Ql and -Qi etc. I also tried looking for some package that contained all the plugins. But I wasn't successful.

• I have been useing Bluetooth Stack since I got my Satellite Laptop with a bluetooth usb dongle that I purchase off of EBay to connect to the internet. When I first started using Bluetooth Stack, it said it was a 30 day evaluation copy. When the 30 days ended it would not allow me to connect. I called Toshiba CS and they had me download the newest version of Bluetooth Stack. Again it was an evaluation copy and 30 days later it quit working. I tried to uninstall and reinstall but that didn't work. I called Toshiba CS again and they said that Bluetooth Stack is a freeware and shouldn't require a license. I was able to obtain a different version and I have it working again but it is still only an evaluation version and I have 20 days till it quits working.
  Does anyone know how to get a license or know how to unlock Bluetooth Stack so it won't expire after 30 days of use? Does anyone know of another program that is free and easy to use in place of Bluetooth Stack? Any help would be greatly appriciated.

  As I understand it, the Toshiba Bluetooth stack works fine with Toshiba Bluetooth hardware connected to the computer. (Not to be confused with the Bluetooth device which can be any brand.)
  If you hook up a non-Toshiba Bluetooth dongle to the USB port then it gives the trial period. The solution is to uninstall the Toshiba Bluetooth stack and use the software that came with your Bluetooth device. Or if you are using USB you can use the Microsoft Bluetooth stack. Toshiba wrote thier own stack because Microsofts only supports USB.

  First, welcome to the Apple boards.
  Backup what you have because it probably contains things from the original update you want to keep - network settings, passwords, etc. A bootable clone is your best bet - and test it out.
  Then you need to format your HD (full, not quick) with the Leopard DVD and then reboot with the Tiger CD and install it. I am not sure how much you can migrate 'downwards' from the Leopard backup, but some things will probably come along OK. Not sure about mail since it was converted by Leopard - will it unconvert? Don't know.
  I have read of some who tried to simply install Tiger over Leopard but the results were less than great. You can try it once you have that clone backup, because you won't be losing anything.
  I would suggest unplugging the clone during the erase and install process until you get to the migration point.

  I have a brand new Leopard based MacBook Pro that I need to revert to its previous cat form of Tiger. Would you mind walking me through it? I have Tiger disks that came with another MacBook Pro so those should have all of the machine specific items I will need. As I understand this, I start the computer from the included Leopard disk and do a full format. (I noticed that there is a new partition style named GUID Partition, is this Leopard only?) Next, I load in my Tiger disks and install from those? I do not need to do any system backups as I have no information on this computer as of yet. Any help would be appreciated.
